The My Citizen app uses OCR technology to recognize your watch. The caseback information, in particular, has important data necessary for providing you with the right setting instructions for your particular model as well as for registering your watch with the correct serial number.
If the app does not recognize your watch on the first attempt, focus on step 2 (the back scan) for the second attempt. Angle your phone's camera from the left-hand side in order to capture the digits on the left and bottom center of the caseback as clearly as possible. It may help to lay the watch face on a flat surface (if your watch has a bracelet strap, hold the bracelet directly above), and diffused lighting is best to avoid harsh reflections.
If this still does not work, we recommend the manual entry option. You will need to enter the following information:
1. Serial number*
2. Caliber + case number* OR model number (on the hangtag of your watch, or on the product page of the website)
